How We Handle Cases
We believe that closely partnering with our clients, functioning as a single team with seamless communication is the key to success in any case.
We bring a wide range of experience gained from some of the most complex international cases both within the US and abroad and bring this experience to bear for our clients. Where necessary, we will call upon capabilities from outside the firm from established resources.
How our clients define success in any given matter guides our strategy for achieving that success. Through regular communications, calls, and meetings as needed, we provide full visibility into the progress of each matter enabling adjustments to the strategy where appropriate. The objective is to remain in lock-step with our client, deliver results in line with or exceeding their expectations, and provide outstanding value.
Our size is not a disadvantage, in fact it may sometimes be an advantage. For example, discovery may be more cost effective to manage through outside providers leveraging technology but always overseen by the firm. When, in concert with the client, it is determined that additional resources are needed, we are able to call upon the highest quality lawyers and the most efficient solutions. Cost and quality are always in mind. As a consequence, we are able to handle matters and deliver results well beyond what our size might indicate.
Fee Arrangements
We often work under bespoke fee agreements that may include fully contingent, fixed fee, or hourly arrangements as well as hybrids that combine contingent, fixed, or hourly components. Our flexibility allows us and our clients to better align our incentives and interests while balancing predictability and flexibility. We are flexible with our fee arrangements so that both our clients and our firm are properly rewarded for our work together.
International Matters
We frequently represent clients who are based outside the United States but are involved in U.S.-centered or cross-border disputes, investigations or other matters. Likewise, we often act for U.S. clients on overseas cases, teaming up with leading lawyers from other parts of the world with whom we have closely worked over several years.
